It’s been over a year since I’ve blogged so I feel like a newbie. Hell I don’t even know where to start. A little over a year ago my mother was outside filling up her bird feeders and she slipped and fell, she broke her tailbone in three places and it’s been a roller coaster ride since then.
For the first few months mom could barely get out of bed by herself, then she had months of therapy and now she’s having to learn how to live with pain on almost a daily basis. We’ve changed everything in our lives, including our way of eating, thinking, sleeping, exercising and taking the time to enjoy the little things in life.
Taking care of mom has been a complete life lesson in gratitude, mindfulness, love, compassion and nourishing our mind body and souls.
I have continued to some times post pictures on Instagram over the past year but I’ve put my blog on the back burner. The other day mom asked me about my blog and I finally told her I stopped blogging and she had a mini meltdown and made me promise I would start blogging again. I’m not a paid blogger, Blogging is my therapy and a place where I can get the weight of the world off my shoulders.
So, to be honest with you I’m not sure what this blog will be about. Some days it will probably be about caring for an elderly parent, or my yoga practice, my spirituality, or what I love to eat now that I’m a gluten free vegan. I promise it won’t be boring around here that’s for sure LOL
